The Last Embrace

by Ed DuCarey

You were as priceless as the stars that shine,
Although you die you sprit lives in love,
Without you I shall surely lose my mind,
For in my mind you floated like a dove,

With you I really lived and never died,
So much I want to see you I do cry,
So far I have not reached you though I’ve tried,
But I will soon be with you in the sky,

The thought of suicide runs through my head,
That which you showed me was all so divine,
To live my life without you I do dread,
For when you lived, in love you were all mine,

Goodbye dear world, I shall now leave this place,
No longer need I suffer life’s Embrace.
